Press Mention - The News Journal

J.L. Miller from The News Journal recently wrote an article regarding the Delaware Online Predator Act of 2007. In the article Patricia Sine, the director of the Office of Educational Technology mentioned that there is software readily available for parents to use to keep tabs on their kids’ online activities.

Below are a couple of quotes from the article.

“But Sine said that protecting children online really is the parents' responsibility, and that legislation to require this technology could just provide parents with a false sense of security -- and a challenge for tech-savvy kids to defeat the programs.”

"The real power is with the parents," Sine said.

“The program known as eBlaster, for example, can monitor Internet activity on a computer and send e-mail reports on that activity without the user's knowledge.”
